Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-05
This policy explains when a purchase of RegWatch subscriptions or digital content is refundable — please read it alongside our Terms of Use.
1. About this policy
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to purchases of RegWatch subscriptions, plans, downloadable reports, data exports, API credits, and other paid content (the "Content" / "Service"), operated by the RegWatch team (currently on a pre-incorporation basis — see our Terms of Use, Section 1.2). It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Use.
The Service is digital content and online access supplied electronically, made available immediately after purchase. Because of this, special rules apply to refunds, set out below.
2. Definitions
— "Access" — logging in to, viewing, searching, or otherwise using the Service or any Content online.
— "Download / Export" — saving, exporting, printing to file, copying, or extracting any Content (e.g. jurisdiction briefs, amendments, PDFs, tables, datasets, or API responses).
— "Substantial Content" — accessing, downloading, or exporting more than a de-minimis amount of the Content (for example, viewing/exporting more than 3 jurisdiction briefs or amendments, or any dataset/API export), as reasonably determined by us from our access and export logs.
— "Consumed" — Content that has been Accessed and/or Downloaded/Exported such that its value has substantially been received.
3. Your acknowledgement at purchase (express consent)
By completing a purchase and by Accessing or Downloading/Exporting the Content, you expressly:
— (a) request that we begin supplying the Content immediately, before the end of any statutory withdrawal period;
— (b) acknowledge and agree that you thereby lose any right of withdrawal / "cooling-off" right to the extent permitted by law; and
— (c) acknowledge that once you have Accessed, Downloaded, or Exported Substantial Content, that Content is treated as supplied and Consumed and is non-refundable, except where a mandatory consumer right or the applicable payment platform's rules require otherwise.
We record this consent at checkout and confirm it to you by email (a durable medium).
4. Cancellation of subscriptions
You may cancel a subscription at any time via your account, the payment provider's customer portal, or by emailing support@regwatch.wiki.
Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not automatically refund the current period. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled before the renewal date (see Section 6).
5. Refund eligibility
Refunds are assessed as follows, subject to Sections 3, 7, and 8:
Initial subscription — limited money-back window. We may refund your first payment for a new subscription only if all of the following are met: (a) you request it within 14 days of the order date; (b) you have not Downloaded or Exported any Content; and (c) you have not Accessed more than 3 items of Content. Where a payment platform requires a broader guarantee, that requirement applies to the extent mandatory.
Downloadable reports, data exports, API credits, and one-time purchases. These are non-refundable once Accessed, Downloaded, Exported, or used, because their value is delivered on supply. API credits are non-refundable once issued and to the extent used.
Renewals. Renewal charges are non-refundable. If you do not want to renew, cancel before the renewal date. We may, at our or the platform's discretion, refund a renewal charged within the last 14 days if the renewed period has not been used.
Free trials / introductory offers. No charge applies during a valid free trial if you cancel before it ends. If you do not cancel, the paid plan begins automatically and Section 5.1 applies to that first charge.
6. When we will not provide a refund
To the maximum extent permitted by law, refunds will not be given where:
— (a) you have Downloaded, Exported, or Accessed Substantial Content;
— (b) the request is made after the applicable window in Section 5.1;
— (c) there is evidence of refund abuse (e.g. repeated purchase-download-refund cycles), fraud, or chargeback abuse;
— (d) you have breached the Terms of Use (e.g. scraping, automated/bulk extraction, sharing credentials, redistributing or reselling Content, or using Content to build a competing product);
— (e) the request is based solely on change of mind after the Content was Consumed, or on your failure to use the Service;
— (f) for partial or unused portions of a subscription period after Access has begun (no pro-rata refunds), except where required by law.
7. Your statutory rights (consumers)
Nothing in this policy removes mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded.
EU / UK — digital content. Consumers normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, this right is lost once supply has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that the right is lost (Section 3) — which is what you provide at checkout and by Accessing/Downloading the Content. Until supply begins, you may still withdraw.
Certain jurisdictions grant a short unconditional cancellation right (e.g. 5–7 days after first access) that cannot be waived; where that applies, we will honour it.
If Content is materially defective, not as described, or not provided, you remain entitled to a remedy (including a refund) under applicable consumer-protection law, regardless of this policy.
8. How to request a refund
Email support@regwatch.wiki from your account email with your order/receipt number and the reason. Where your payment was handled by a Merchant of Record, you may also request via that provider's support/portal (link in your receipt).
We (or the platform) aim to respond within 10 business days. We may review our Access/Download/Export logs to assess eligibility. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.
9. How refunds are processed; Merchant of Record
Where a Merchant of Record processed your payment, that provider handles the refund and applies its own refund rules and discretion in addition to this policy — including any minimum money-back guarantee it requires and any discretionary refund it issues (e.g. to prevent a chargeback). Where those rules are more generous to you than this policy, they prevail.
Where payment was taken directly, we process the refund to your original method under the processor's and the card network's rules.
10. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback — we will try to resolve genuine issues quickly. Filing a chargeback instead of contacting us, or after Consuming the Content, may be treated as a breach of the Terms; we may suspend your account and contest the dispute using our Access/Download/Export records.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy prospectively; the "Last updated" date will change and material changes will be notified. The policy in force at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.

12. Languages
This policy is provided in English, Russian, and Ukrainian. The translations are provided for convenience only; in the event of any discrepancy, the English version prevails, except where mandatory local law requires the local-language version to govern.
